Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, who boasts 18.6 million Instagram followers, has taken a firm stand against the spread of fake news on social media.

The most-followed actress in Pakistan, Hania Aamir recently responded in her signature style to misleading viral posts that falsely used her name to gain views and engagement online.

In her Instagram story, Hania shared a trending video about mobile camera tips and tricks, which misleadingly tagged her name to attract attention. She immediately called out the false association, labeling it as “fake and fabricated.”

Using her platform effectively, Hania highlighted the growing issue of misinformation and disinformation circulating across digital platforms. In her Instagram story, she wrote:

“Although it’s not that serious, you people write anything, say anything, and talk about yourself.”

She continued her statement by calling out blind belief and misinformation-sharing habits:

“Anyone says anything and you agree. You keep playing with each other — what are you doing?”

Hania Aamir emphasized the importance of fact-checking before spreading unverified claims and urged her followers to be more responsible.

Despite being a beloved celebrity in Pakistan, Hania Aamir also enjoys a strong fan base in India. However, she has previously been the target of boycott campaigns amid political tensions between the two countries.

In one notable incident, a fake Instagram story went viral, falsely claiming that she had appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Pahalgam attack. Hania quickly addressed the issue, stating:

“I have nothing to do with this post. It’s fake.”

Shortly after, another rumor surfaced alleging she had created a separate Instagram account for Indian fans. Hania denied the claim, clarifying that she only operates one official Instagram account.

Through her recent response, Hania Aamir has once again stressed the need to stop believing in and sharing fake news. She reminded everyone of the importance of verifying facts and being cautious online.
