Starlink Takes Off in Bangladesh

Starlink Officially Launches in Bangladesh — A New Digital Dawn Begins!

Elon Musk’s SpaceX has brought its revolutionary satellite internet service, Starlink, to Bangladesh, marking a bold step toward uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity across the nation.

This major development comes amidst political turbulence, with Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus stepping in as interim head of state following the recent departure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Recognizing the urgent need for reliable communication during times of uncertainty, Yunus emphasized that Starlink’s satellite-based system is resilient against political disruptions and internet shutdowns—offering a powerful digital alternative for the people of Bangladesh.

Starlink’s internet service is priced at 4,200 taka/month, with a one-time setup fee of 47,000 taka. Despite the cost, it promises consistent, high-speed internet even in rural and remote areas, where traditional networks often fail.

Now active in over 70 countries, including India and Bangladesh, Starlink is accelerating its expansion into emerging markets, empowering millions with access to stable, unrestricted internet.

With this launch, Bangladesh enters a new era of digital independence—one where connectivity is no longer held hostage by politics or infrastructure limits
