Pakistan Wins Gold at Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025 in Amman
Pakistani athletes delivered a powerful performance at the Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2025 in Amman, with Bano Kousar taking center stage by claiming a gold medal in the women’s 48kg contact ju-jitsu category. She defeated Indian competitor Richa Sharma on Day 3 of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Pakistan earned two bronze medals. Muhammad Ali Rashid and Muhammad Yousuf Ali secured third place in the men’s duo event, while Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif achieved bronze in the women’s duo category.
Chairman of the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, Khalil Ahmed Khan, celebrated the team’s achievements, emphasizing that the medals reflect the athletes’ world-class skill and relentless effort. He commended the dedication of coaches, players, and support staff.
Tariq Ali, secretary general of both the national federation and the South Asian Regional Ju-Jitsu Association, called the victory a significant milestone. He praised the determination and spirit shown by Pakistan’s female and youth athletes.
The championship, featuring top contenders from across Asia, concludes on Monday. Pakistan’s team remains focused on increasing its medal count in the final rounds.
