Loralai Olives has made history by becoming the first Pakistani olive oil brand to win a Silver Award at the prestigious NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Arbequina monovarietal.
The award-winning brand manages a 40-hectare olive farm in Loralai, Balochistan, where it grows Arbequina and Coratina varieties—chosen for their compatibility with the region’s dry climate, high altitude, and temperate conditions.
The recognized olive oil was crafted under stringent quality protocols. The olives are hand-harvested at peak ripeness, swiftly transferred to a cold-extraction mill supported by the government, stored in climate-controlled stainless steel tanks, and packaged in dark glass and ceramic bottles. Each production batch undergoes laboratory testing to ensure it meets international benchmarks for acidity, flavor, and purity.
Loralai Olives attributes its success to strong government support, which includes subsidized milling, modern irrigation infrastructure, and free access to global exhibitions. The company holds multiple certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, and Halal.
Winning at NYIOOC is set to open doors for international exports, particularly targeting markets in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. To meet growing demand, the company is expanding operations to areas like the Pothohar Plateau.
Emphasizing sustainability, Loralai Olives employs drip irrigation, organic inputs, natural composting, and energy-efficient processing to combat climate change and ensure long-term resilience. While rising temperatures led to an earlier harvest this year, the yield and quality of the olives remained high.
Additionally, the brand actively supports local farmers by offering training and technical assistance, aiming to boost the national production of premium-quality olive oil.The award-winning brand manages a 40-hectare olive farm in Loralai, Balochistan, where it grows Arbequina and Coratina varieties—chosen for their compatibility with the region’s dry climate, high altitude, and temperate conditions.
