Pakistan export growth to Europe. Pakistan has had a good year exporting goods to European countries. Exports were increased by 8.62% in the first ten months of this fiscal year. According to figures released from the State Bank of Pakistan total exports were $7.553 billion, having been $6.954 billion during the same ten-month period last year..

Western Europe Leads the Way in Export Gains
This substantial increase is mainly due to higher demand in Western and Southern Europe, especially for Pakistan’s textile and clothing products. These categories were the primary reason for switching to positive growth on the back of last year’s decline. In FY24, total exports to the European Union (EU) stood at $8.248 billion, a decrease of 3.12%. This decrease occurred even as Pakistan retained its GSP+ status in its trade relationship with the EU, giving it access to a duty-free export market for most products.

Textile and Clothing Products Drive the Export Surge
Pakistan primarily exported to Western European countries such as Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. The exports to Western Europe increased by 10.04% during the period July–April FY25. Exports increased by $346 million and reached $3.791 billion in July–April FY25 compared to $3.445 billion during the same period last year.

Pakistan Export Growth to Europe Shocks Analysts with Massive 8.62% Surge

Growth in Southern Europe

Exports to Southern Europe increased by 3.62%, reaching $2.552 billion. The growth is driven by Spain, where exports rose 2.75% to $1.232 billion. Italy saw a 1.62% increase, reaching $934.04 million. Greece experienced a significant 12.81% rise, with exports totaling $123.05 million.

These numbers demonstrate that Mediterranean countries are becoming more reliant on importing Pakistan’s value-added textile products. The growing demand highlights increased acceptance of Pakistani textiles in European markets.

Eastern Europe Continues to Emerge as a Market

Exports to Eastern Europe rose by 13.96%, increasing from $517.74 million to $590.02 million. Eastern European countries are becoming valuable trade partners. They offer promising new opportunities for Pakistani exporters across multiple sectors.

Pakistan’s Export Sector Shows Resilience

Pakistan’s export sector successfully navigated local and global economic challenges. The country maintained steady export performance in European markets. This reflects Pakistan’s competitive strength—especially in textiles.

Positive Outlook for the Final Quarter

The outlook remains positive as FY25 moves into its final quarter. Pakistani businesses continue to hold stable positions in European supply chains. They are also expanding and diversifying their product mix, which helps maintain momentum.

It is encouraging to see export momentum improving for Pakistani brands. As a result, members of European supply chains are increasing their presence and engagement in Pakistan. They aim to remain competitive and secure their market share alongside Pakistani exporters.
