ISLAMABAD – Pakistani students at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) stole the spotlight on June 14 at the 11th International Culture Exhibition and Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Campus Open Day. Among 39 countries, Pakistani culture at Nanjing University impressed attendees with its vibrant mix of food, heritage, and live performances.

Delicious Pakistani Food Wins Hearts

As reported by Gwadar Pro, Pakistan’s booth became a crowd favorite from the very beginning. As soon as the event began, guests were welcomed by the irresistible aroma of traditional Pakistani dishes.

A large pot of aromatic biryani disappeared within just five minutes. This immediate response set the tone for what would be one of the day’s most talked-about stalls.

Throughout the event, the booth continued to serve a flavorful spread. Visitors enjoyed spicy chicken karahi, sweet mutanjan, creamy kheer, seviyan, hot chapatis, and crispy pakoras. The steady flow of guests proved the wide appeal of Pakistani cuisine.

A Visual Celebration of Culture

Beyond food, the booth offered a colorful display of Pakistan’s rich heritage. Stunning posters featured landmarks like the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, and the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Eye-catching visuals of truck art and Urdu calligraphy captured the essence of Pakistan’s artistic traditions. These visuals drew in guests from diverse backgrounds, encouraging questions and admiration.

You Won’t Believe What Stole the Spotlight at China’s Culture Fest

Traditional Performances Light Up the Event

Adding to the excitement, students presented rhythmic Multani performances. The music and dance gave the booth a vibrant and lively feel. These cultural elements transformed the space into a sensory experience that attendees loved.

Mashood, one of the event organizers, shared his thoughts: “This booth is more than decoration—it’s a living representation of our homeland. We wanted people to experience Pakistan with all their senses.”

Student Reflections and Global Unity

First-year student Waqas, who is still settling into life in China, found the event deeply meaningful. “It makes me proud to see others enjoy our food and ask about our culture. Their curiosity felt genuine,” he said.

While students from China, Russia, Morocco, Mozambique, and Uzbekistan also participated, Pakistan’s booth stood out. Its combination of flavors, visuals, and performances made it a festival highlight.

A Lasting Impression of Pakistan

The festival turned the campus into a global village. Yet, it was Pakistani culture at Nanjing University that left a lasting impression. With warmth, pride, and creativity, these students offered more than just a booth—they shared a piece of their homeland.
