Squid Game Season 3 is set to premiere on June 27, 2025, exclusively on Netflix, with all 6 episodes releasing globally at the same time — 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET. The highly anticipated season will again feature Seong Gi Hun – Player 456 – whose life falls apart before he voluntarily returns to the evil survival game. The last trailer was published earlier this month, a haunting montage that reminds of the past seasons and creates excitement about a strong finale.
The teaser summarises the anguish that began with Season 1’s tough competition and lasted through Season 2’s emotional torment. It now builds to a terrifying and conclusive ending.
Returning Characters and Ending Chapter Reveals
The season symbolises a new beginning for Seong Gi Hun. His life is going apart, and he returns to the twisted game. Some of the most popular and ghostly characters of previous chapters make a short, but effective appearance. The audience will remember Ali’s faithfulness, Sae Byeok’s calm strength, and Sang Woo’s internal strife. They will also encounter the odd presence of Oh Il Nam, an elderly man with secret power. These encounters culminate in an emotional parting.

An interesting new player, Geum Ja (Player 149), enters the game. Her plot brings a profound, philosophical perspective of justice and humanity in the black, controlled world of the game. In the meantime, The Front Man reappears, and there are hints that he might resume the terrifying role of Player 001, which causes speculation and fear.
Further Fall into Disarray
You should expect a much more emotional and psychologically challenging chapter. The last instalment goes deeper into the mess, with action scenes that are not only exciting but also psychologically torturous. Both characters have a greater emotional load. Detective Jun Ho is still obsessed with finding out the secrets of the island, not knowing that betrayal is just around the corner.
The re-entry of the elite VIPs adds more confusion to the already strained atmosphere, with power, money and manipulation once again taking centre stage.

Hwang Dong Hyuk conducts the final installment of Squid Game. His audacious storytelling earned him the prestigious Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series Direction. His vision foreshadows a cinematic masterpiece full of fire and emotion.
As Season 3 of Squid Game approaches, fans anticipate a conclusion full with treachery, emotion, anxiety, and hope.
