Pakistan’s national volleyball calendar for 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed and impactful schedules in recent memory. The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has confirmed the country’s participation in several key international competitions spanning multiple age brackets and locations. The senior championship, originally planned to be held in Pakistan, was relocated due to the Pakistan-India conflict.
CAVA Men’s U16 Championship – Uzbekistan (June 10–16):
Shortly after the senior events, Pakistan’s under-16 team will remain in Uzbekistan for the CAVA U16 Championship, a crucial platform for youth development in Central Asia. With momentum building in Pakistan’s junior ranks, this tournament offers significant long-term potential.
AVC Men’s Nations Cup – Bahrain (June 17–24):
In Bahrain, Pakistan will compete in the AVC Men’s Nations Cup — a vital opportunity to earn rankings and battle top emerging teams from Asia in a high-level setting.
Russia’s National Volleyball Team Tour – Islamabad (June 23–27):
A historic moment for Pakistani volleyball, Russia’s national team will tour Islamabad for a three-match bilateral series. This not only enhances Pakistan’s global presence but also offers rare elite-level action on home turf.
2nd Asian Men’s U16 Championship – Thailand (July 20–27):
Pakistan’s junior players will then head to Thailand to compete against Asia’s best, including volleyball heavyweights Iran, Japan, and Korea, in this gold-standard youth tournament.
FIVB U19 World Championship – Uzbekistan (July 24 – August 3):
In a major achievement, Pakistan will participate in the FIVB U19 World Championship in Uzbekistan — a milestone reflecting the country’s progress on the global stage.
3rd Asian Youth Games – Bahrain (October 22–31):
Pakistan will return to Bahrain in October to compete in the Asian Youth Games, with volleyball as a core sporting event in the multi-discipline contest.
6th Islamic Solidarity Games – Saudi Arabia (November 7–21):
To conclude the year, the team will represent Pakistan in Riyadh during the Islamic Solidarity Games, a prestigious event uniting Muslim nations through sport and diplomacy.
With a full slate of international appearances — from youth to senior levels — the PVF is strategically investing in global exposure, grassroots talent, and elite match experience. The 2025 roadmap could very well re-establish Pakistan as a major force in the Asian volleyball arena.
