ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology will officially inaugurate the Islamabad Information Technology Park on August 14. This major tech facility will mark a new chapter for the country’s digital growth and innovation landscape.
The IT Park covers an area of 66,893 square meters and offers advanced infrastructure tailored for tech startups, freelancers, and IT export firms. It aims to support Pakistan’s booming IT industry by providing a dynamic, tech-enabled environment.
The building includes two basements, a ground floor, and nine upper floors. It features 120 fully developed office spaces designed for IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies. The park also hosts a dedicated startup incubation center, which offers 15 private offices and a coworking space. This space will nurture emerging entrepreneurs and help them scale their innovations.
Officials designed the park to serve as a one-stop destination for business and technology support. A business support center will offer legal, financial, and marketing consulting services to resident companies. The park also includes an industry-academia linkage hub, which encourages collaboration between tech companies and universities to drive innovation and research.

One of the park’s standout features is Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Center. This facility ensures high-level data security, continuous power supply, and disaster recovery capabilities. “This high-standard data center takes Pakistan’s digital infrastructure to the next level,” an IT Ministry official said.
The park will bring together researchers, developers, academia, and policy experts to create a collaborative ecosystem focused on innovation and economic growth.
In a forward-looking move, the government also plans to build another IT park near Karachi airport. This step will further expand the country’s technology infrastructure and attract both local and foreign investment in the digital sector.
