Pakistan Concludes Pre-Hajj 2025 Flight Operation
Pakistan has officially concluded its Pre-Hajj 2025 flight operation. This marks a significant milestone as more than 100,000 pilgrims safely traveled to Saudi Arabia. The final five flights, departing from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, complete the government’s coordinated effort. These flights wrap up the airlift phase today (Saturday), signaling a smooth and efficient operation.
Government Confirms Pilgrim Numbers and Coordination
Speaking from Makkah on Radio Pakistan, Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman, Secretary of Religious Affairs, provided detailed updates. He confirmed that over 87,000 pilgrims traveled under the government scheme. Additionally, 21,984 pilgrims made the journey through private arrangements. The successful coordination highlights the government’s strong commitment to a seamless and organized travel experience.
Upgrades to Enhance Pilgrim Comfort
Dr. Rehman emphasized upgrades to improve pilgrim comfort during the upcoming Mashair days. Traditional mattresses have been replaced with sofa-cum-beds. Air conditioners have been added alongside coolers to improve air circulation. Pilgrims will also find shoe and luggage racks to help manage their belongings better. These upgrades aim to provide a more comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience.
He urged all Pakistani pilgrims to respect and follow Saudi laws during their stay to uphold Pakistan’s positive reputation in the Kingdom. The government and religious authorities prioritize maintaining discipline and decorum among pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque launched a groundbreaking global initiative to broadcast the Arafat Sermon (1446 AH). Led by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the project will translate the sermon into 35 languages and stream it live to over five million Muslims worldwide. Officials describe this large-scale broadcast as the largest spiritual enrichment program the Presidency has ever undertaken, giving millions access to the sermon’s inspiring message.
With the Pre-Hajj 2025 flight operation successfully concluded and new spiritual initiatives launched, Pakistani pilgrims prepare to undertake a smooth, safe, and spiritually enriching Hajj pilgrimage this year.
