Skardu Airport Makes History! 14 Flights in a Day

SKARDU –Skardu Airport flight record. In a major milestone, Skardu Airport managed 14 flights in one day, setting a new record. This achievement reflects the area’s rapid growth as a top tourist destination and the airport’s improved capacity.

On Wednesday, out of 16 scheduled flights, 14 successfully took off or landed. This accomplishment highlights improved air connectivity and signals growing interest in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Better Connections to Major Cities

The Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that PIA operated four flights and Airblue managed three. Other domestic airlines handled the remaining flights. These aircraft connected Skardu with Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

A total of seven flights arrived, while seven others departed. This level of activity marks a new benchmark for the region.

Tourism Drives Flight Surge

This boost in air traffic strongly reflects the increase in tourism to northern Pakistan. More people now choose Skardu for vacations, thanks to its scenic views and peaceful atmosphere.

As a result, the local economy is benefiting. Hotels, transport services, and small businesses have seen a rise in customers. Job opportunities are growing, and the area is becoming more vibrant.
