PTA has introduced a new tax-free mobile registration facility for overseas Pakistanis and short-term visitors. It allows them to operate their mobile phones in Pakistan without paying FBR taxes up to 120 days per visit.

This program helps Pakistanis who come back on holidays, family events, or business visits. By registering their personal devices through a free and easy digital system, they can now avoid high taxes and service disruptions.

The system guarantees continuous mobile connectivity with every visit. It eliminates the necessity to pay the standard customs fees when importing a foreign device into the country.

Simple Sign-up and No Additional Fees

PTA clarified that the service is limited to personal devices and is valid within 120 days of the arrival of the traveler in Pakistan. Registration is online and easy to use. To activate the tax-free period, visitors just have to take a few simple steps.

Authorities believe this step will reduce the financial burden on overseas Pakistanis and help them stay connected during their visit. The facility also simplifies temporary mobile use, especially for those who rely on navigation, banking apps, or communication with loved ones.

This step demonstrates the interest of PTA in improving the digital convenience of citizens in foreign countries. It also facilitates the objective of ensuring that there is smooth mobile services to temporary visitors.

PTA’s tax-free mobile registration will allow international travellers to use mobile services without incurring additional charges.
