Infantino stated, “Cristiano Ronaldo might play in the Club World Cup,” which certainly got fans worldwide excited. After this, Ronaldo further fueled the speculation by posting an ambiguous post on social media: “This chapter is finished. The story? On June 7, Ronaldo spoke about these rumors during a press conference. He noted many clubs have contacted him with offers. Ronaldo said “I have had a lot of contacts from clubs. Some are logical; other are not logical. I can’t say yes to every club. You have to look at a short, medium, and long-term plan.” He then stated, “I have practically decided to not play in the Club World Cup, but I have several invitations.” No and what this shows is clubs may be reaching out but he plans to the skip the tournament, thus the story is valid.

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr contract runs out at the end of June. He confirmed to the camera he is very close to deciding where his next destination will be but has yet to announce it.
