LONDON – Pakistan supports Iran in the wake of escalating regional violence, said former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He firmly criticized the recent military strikes, calling them acts of blatant oppression. Moreover, he reaffirmed Islamabad’s unwavering solidarity with the Iranian people.

Nawaz Sharif Denounces Injustice

While addressing journalists outside the Avenfield residence in London, Nawaz Sharif directly condemned the crisis. He clearly stated, “We were with Iran and we will continue to stand with Iran.” His comments reinforced Pakistan’s consistent backing of its neighboring ally.

Additionally, Sharif labeled the ongoing assaults as unjust and intolerable. “What is happening is oppression. Burning and attacking nations is not how civilized societies behave,” he added, stressing the moral implications.

Pakistan’s Nuclear Status Promotes Peace

Sharif also highlighted Pakistan’s strategic strength. According to him, the country’s nuclear capability is a blessing, designed for peace—not for provocation. “Pakistan being a nuclear country is a matter of good fortune,” he remarked. “We did not become a nuclear power to wage war, but to preserve peace.”

Nawaz Sharif Drops Bombshell: Pakistan Fully Backs Iran Amid Rising Tensions

Thus, his comments clarified that Pakistan views its defense strength as a tool to maintain stability and prevent conflict.

Commitment to Global Peace and Unity

Furthermore, Nawaz Sharif urged world powers to pursue peace and diplomacy. He reiterated that Pakistan supports Iran in its fight for justice, and called on global leaders to end hostilities through dialogue.

“There must be peace in the world,” he insisted. “This kind of injustice must stop. There is no place for such actions in a peaceful society.”

Consistent Diplomatic Stance

Importantly, Sharif’s message aligns with Pakistan’s official position. The government already condemned the strikes and supported Iran’s right to self-defense under international law. It continues to advocate for restraint, mutual respect, and peaceful resolutions.

In conclusion, Nawaz Sharif’s remarks underline Pakistan’s firm policy: to stand with allies against oppression and to promote stability through peaceful means.

As regional tensions continue to rise, his message serves as a reminder of Pakistan’s commitment to diplomacy and justice. Moving forward, global leaders must take such calls seriously and prioritize peace over conflict. The world cannot afford further escalation. Sharif’s words reflect not only Pakistan’s stance but also the broader voice of reason in an increasingly polarized world.
