PARIS – The year 2025 has brought major achievements for the global aviation industry. At the Skytrax World Airline Awards on June 17, held during the Paris Air Show, Qatar Airways was named the World’s Best Airline—for the ninth time.
The award confirms Qatar Airways’ dominance in international aviation. The airline’s win follows its recent announcement of the largest wide-body aircraft order in Boeing’s history. This victory, often called the “Oscars of Aviation,” is based on passenger surveys collected from over 22 million travelers and 325+ airlines worldwide.
Qatar Airways Leads with Excellence
Qatar Airways didn’t just win the top prize. It also claimed several major awards, including:
- World’s Best Business Class
- Best Airline in the Middle East
- Best Business Class Airline Lounge
CEO Badr Muhammed Al-Meer said the awards reflect the airline’s dedication.

Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Follow
In second place, Singapore Airlines proved its world-class service again. It earned:
- World’s Best Cabin Crew
- Best Airline in Asia
- World’s Best First Class
Cathay Pacific, based in Hong Kong, secured third place. The airline has focused on service innovation and sustainability, which helped boost its global rank.
