Air Arabia Expands European Network with Three New Routes from Sharjah
Sharjah, UAE Air Arabia New Routes Air Arabia, the region’s leading low-cost carrier, is expanding its European footprint. The airline announced three new routes this July, connecting Sharjah with Munich, Prague, and Warsaw–Modlin. All services will launch in December 2025 and operate daily.
Prague: A New Link to Central Europe
On July 2, 2025, Air Arabia unveiled a daily non-stop service between Sharjah and Prague, starting December 20. Operated with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, the route will offer travelers an affordable, direct option to the Czech capital.
Known for its stunning architecture and rich history, Prague is a major tourist hub. The new service aims to enhance connectivity between the UAE and Central Europe. It also adds to the airline’s growing list of European destinations.
According to Group CEO Adel Al Ali,
“This new route reflects our commitment to expanding travel options. It also supports tourism and trade between the two countries.”
Warsaw–Modlin: Second Gateway to Poland
Just two days after the Prague announcement, on July 4, the airline introduced another European route. It will connect Sharjah with Warsaw Modlin Mazovia Airport, also starting December 20.
The new service complements Air Arabia’s existing routes to Warsaw–Chopin and Kraków. As a result, travelers now have more flexibility when flying to Poland.
Al Ali commented,
“We’re glad to add a second Warsaw airport. This step reinforces our dedication to affordable travel and regional access.”
By using Modlin Airport, the airline leverages a less congested terminal. Lower operational costs can be passed on to passengers through reduced fares.

Munich: First Destination in Germany
Completing the trio, Air Arabia announced on July 7 that it will begin flights to Munich from December 15. This route marks the airline’s first entry into the German market.
Munich is a global city known for its economy and cultural attractions. It also serves as a strategic hub for both business and leisure travel.
Al Ali stated,
“Munich strengthens our presence in Western Europe. It also aligns with our long-term plan to expand affordable travel options.”
With this move, the airline adds another key European city to its route map.
Why These Cities?
Each destination was selected for strategic reasons:
- Prague boosts access to Central Europe and fills a gap in the network.
- Warsaw–Modlin enhances flexibility and provides an alternative to the busy Chopin Airport.
- Munich marks entry into a high-demand market where low-cost options are limited.
Together, these routes expand Air Arabia’s winter 2025–26 network to 19 European destinations.
Fleet & Passenger Experience
All new services will use Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline offers ‘SkyTime’ in-flight entertainment and ‘SkyCafe’ dining, improving passenger experience while keeping costs low.
Importantly, Air Arabia plans to increase capacity on its Europe-bound network by 19% this winter. That growth builds on a 30% increase over the summer, reflecting strong demand and operational resilience.
Air Arabia’s Growing Network
With the addition of Munich, Prague, and Warsaw–Modlin, the airline’s European network now includes:
- Austria: Vienna
- Greece: Athens
- Italy: Milan–Bergamo
- Poland: Warsaw (Chopin and Modlin), Kraków
- Germany: Munich
- Czech Republic: Prague
Currently, Air Arabia operates 94 routes across 91 destinations in 37 countries, supported by a fleet of 54 aircraft.

Strategic Impact
This expansion holds several advantages:
- Greater Access for Budget Travelers
The new routes allow more passengers to travel between the UAE and Europe at lower fares. - Improved Business & Tourism Links
Daily frequencies support short business trips and longer leisure stays. - Diversification of Airports
Using secondary airports like Modlin helps the airline avoid congestion and reduce costs. - First Step into Germany
The Munich route could pave the way for future growth across German cities. - Network Synergy
More connections from Sharjah allow travelers to combine routes and enjoy seamless travel across regions.
Bookings and Promotions
Tickets are available via the airline’s website and travel partners. Promotional fares launched in early July included one way deals starting from AED 149 for select destinations.
These campaigns encourage early bookings and raise awareness of the new routes. They also align with Air Arabia’s strategy to offer value-driven travel options.
What’s Next?
Given its steady growth, Air Arabia may continue to expand into new European markets. As more A320neo aircraft are delivered, the airline will have increased range and efficiency. This will enable service to farther destinations and higher passenger capacity.
Its success in Warsaw, Kraków, and now Modlin suggests that further Polish cities could follow. Similarly, the launch in Munich may open the door to other German hubs.
Conclusion
With the launch of three new daily flights to Prague, Warsaw Modlin, and Munich, Air Arabia has made a decisive move to grow its European presence. These additions increase convenience for passengers and support stronger business and tourism links.
The strategy fits well within the airline’s model: affordable fares, reliable operations, and steady expansion. As winter 2025–26 approaches, Air Arabia is positioned to become one of the leading low-cost carriers connecting the Middle East with Europe.
By expanding to key cities while maintaining affordability, Air Arabia continues to redefine travel from Sharjah and sets a high bar for competitors across the region.
