Dubai: Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his deep attachment to Saudi Arabia, revealing his desire to make the country his lifelong residence. Describing it as a land of “peace and safety,” the 40-year-old star praised the warm reception he and his family continue to receive.

Ronaldo initially signed with Al Nassr in late 2022 following his departure from Manchester United. Last week, the Saudi club officially announced that Ronaldo had extended his contract until 2027—ensuring his stay beyond his 42nd birthday.

Ronaldo Says Family Supports the Move

Ronaldo expressed his opinions about living in the kingdom in a video posted by Al Nassr on its YouTube channel. “We’re content here in Saudi Arabia, and my family always supports my decisions,” he said. “We receive amazing warmth from the people here. We wish to live and establish our lives here for that reason.

Ronaldo’s developing personal and professional ties with Saudi Arabia are strengthened by this extension. His choice makes a powerful statement about the standard of living and football culture that the nation currently provides.

More Than Just a Contract Renewal

Ronaldo’s dedication extends beyond the field. He shows that he believes in Saudi Arabia’s future plans by deciding to stay longer. Ronaldo, a father and international celebrity, cherishes the tranquil surroundings the nation offers his family.

His participation in the Saudi Pro League has already changed the league’s standing abroad. Since joining, he has brought the area international attention, inspiring other elite players to think about making similar moves.

Saudi Arabia’s Sports Vision Gains Boost

Ronaldo’s long-term presence boosts Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a global sports hub. His commitment enhances the nation’s image and could pave the way for other football icons to join the Saudi Pro League. With players like Lionel Messi reportedly eyed by clubs in the region, Ronaldo’s influence might shape a new era of football in the Middle East.

A New Chapter of Legacy and Leadership

Cristiano Ronaldo’s choice to call Saudi Arabia his permanent home reflects his satisfaction with both his career and personal life in the kingdom. He now plays the dual role of footballer and cultural bridge deepening ties between Saudi Arabia and the global sports community.
